Take a Fresh Look at Parenting Teenagers

Its tough being a teenager – I have to be popular, slim, beautiful, cool, get rid of the pimples, have a boyfriend…. and my friends are drinking!

It’s not much fun being a parent either. This kid did not come with a guide book and even if they did everything keeps changing – he is not the kid I had last week.

We all worry too much about our teenagers – she does not study, he studies too much – he never goes out, she goes out too much.

Now parents of teenagers or soon to be teenagers can get some guidance. Parentline have developed a new parenting course called ‘Take a Fresh Look at Parenting’.
The course was developed by Parentline volunteers in response to the issues they heard on the lines over 20 years.

All the facilitators are Parentline volunteers so they ‘have heard it all before’ and they have additional training in facilitating and the course material.

The course focuses very much on communicating with your teenager and building confidence– relax and enjoy them and work together to help them become a self disciplined confident adult.

The course runs over normally 6 weeks but can be adapted to suit your needs or other age groups.
