Parenting Tips - Physical Punishment
Parent-line does not condone physical punishment.
We believe hitting children is a violation of their fundamental rights as people and is a continuous confirmation of their low status.
It can be a dangerous practice sometimes causing serious “accidental” injuries or escalating into behaviour recognised as child abuse.
It encourages attitudes and behaviour both in childhood
and later life
Violence breeds violence.
It teaches children nothing positive
