Courses - Parentline - Helpline for Parents.

Parentline, in partnership with the Parents Plus Charity, is delighted to offer online courses for parents.

All the courses are practical, positive and evidence-based, with proven benefits for the families who attend. The courses are suitable for all kinds of families including those dealing with the normal ups and downs of parenting and those dealing with specific challenges.

– Each course is delivered online via Zoom by a professionally qualified facilitator over six two-hour weekly sessions to a group of about 14 parents.

– All sessions are interactive, with plenty of time to address individual goals and concerns.

– Two weeks prior to starting the course, the facilitator contacts each parent to discuss their goals and to ensure the course meets their needs.

– You will also receive the accompanying course parent book by post.

-We will be anonymously collecting pre and post course feedback from parents to help us evaluate the benefits of the course. We will give you more details when you sign up.

Bookings are open to parents in the Republic of Ireland only and will close two weeks before each course starts. It is recommended that you only attend one course at a time.

Parents Plus are delighted to be supported by the RTÉ Toy Show Appeal and the Community Foundation for Ireland.

This grant allows us to make the Parents Plus courses available to parents nationally in partnership with family support organisations such as Parentline, ADHD Ireland, Family Carers Ireland, as well as family resource centres and youth services.

These courses are charged on a “pay what you can” basis. Any payments received will be reinvested in providing free places to parents who need them in future.
